I always feel so happy when I see your letter waiting in my inbox. Often I save it to read at a quiet time when I have space to ponder its truth and beauty. Such gorgeous painted layers of thought and emotion-- thank you for sharing your gifts.
this was such a wonderfully overwhelming note to receive. i'm so glad that we share that moment together, across space-time and in little scribbles. thank you for being here.
Reading my Substack recommendations, the line from Kinnell's poem caught my eye. I'd read that poem for the first time a few weeks back, and it struck a chord which moved me to write it out and add it to my notebook of favorites. Kinnell opened the door - but once in, your writing had my attention.
There is a gracious amount of substance and beauty in this piece - and for me that means reading it
The classic poets are full of awe-inspiring beauty like Galway Kinnell. I often wonder about the boundaries of Time. If it is truly a gift, we must preserve it like a sacred stone. Breathing is so overrated for many of us non-believers. The genius of simple actions such as inhaling/exhaling is quite fundamental. All these deeper thoughts slowly dissolve into the rivers of the mind. Thank You little voices. I learn so much from thee with these transportive philosophies. I'll continue to be open to the Muse. Be Tender in the sweetness of life's road.
Let time
Soften the calluses
On your fingers
So you may
Touch with tenderness
That tenderness
Of existence.
Thanks.
thank you, little voice. this is beautiful. <3
